This is the Sol district, bordering Huertas neighbourhood. You are a stroll from the famous Plaza Mayor and in under 10 minutes walk you arrive at Kilómetro Cero, Puerta del Sol; the centre of Madrid and in fact the centre of Spain.

Also within walking distance are the Palacio Real and the market streets of El Rastro, with public transport taking you to Atocha and other sightseeing places in about 15 minutes.

Nearby metro station: Tirso de Molina (L1, blue line).
