Winding streets invite exploration in this part of El Born. Pretty squares, small bars and multi-ethnic shops and restaurants dot the area. And the Palau de la Musica concert hall is the star attraction.  

If you stay here (and even if you don’t), get a ticket for a show at the splendid Palau before proceeding. You won’t regret it. Now let’s get lost in the Born backstreets. Look out for Santa Catarina Market and the St. Agusti Convent. Then pick a terrace for an alfresco lunch. Dessert? The Chocolate Museum beckons.
