If you’re a serial visitor to Barcelona, you’ll know that Sant Antoni is a tasty place to be. Walkable to downtown, it’s got an authentic, non-touristy feel. And a great market.

Wide, perpendicular streets follow the typical Eixample grid plan format. Down here, many of them are tree-lined too. You’ll find handy shops and numerous small cafes and bars. And there’s a strong community feel - nowhere more so than at the bustling Mercat. Ask for some fresh local produce; in Catalan, of course.
