A few words about the apartment…

Well, here’s something completely different! And something completely awesome too - a house built above the waters of the Spree. Plenty of architectural expertise is on display. But when one entire wall is made of glass, you wouldn’t expect anything else. The fold-down bed and weatherproof lounge cushions (for taking outside) are further features of the innovative design.

Lichtenberg is a residential area with no pretentions. It contains both tower blocks and listed brick buildings and the life here has a certain village feel.

You won’t get a Chai Latte here – just tea with milk. The atmosphere is quite authentic and laid back. You won’t be too far from a park to relax in or an interesting local shop to browse in. It’s also an area of contrasts with chic lofts for wealthy residents near food canteens for the less fortunate. If you’re curious and adventurous, then welcome to Rummelsburg.
