Walk into the living area and you feel a bit like you’re in a Victorian drawing room. Poise yourself at the fireplace. Or sit in the conservatory, reading a novel by the light from the stained glass windows. The pretty tree-lined street is a good spot for an evening stroll. Or you could hit the bars, which are very much 21st century Berlin. In the centre of Berlin-West, you're also within easy walking distance of KaDeWe, the Kaiser-Wilhelm church and even the Zoo!
Even if a shopping spree on the Ku’damm is not what you had in mind, Charlottenburg might win you over with its cabaret hall charm. But this is first and foremost a shopper’s paradise.
That’s mainly because the luxurious KaDeWe department store is here. If that’s too mainstream for your liking, head over to Kantrasse for more interesting shops. Of course, this being the heart of old West Berlin, you won’t be lacking in classic bars (Schwarzcafé, Paris Bar…) or good restaurants either.
