This suburban part of Charlottenburg is quite plush. Mansions and villas between Reichsstraße and Spandauer Damm are home to famous residents including the occasional German poet. With protected nature areas it’s a great place for relaxing away from the centre.

The nearby Olympic Stadium was built for the 1936 summer games. It’s the home ground of Hertha Berlin, so see if you can catch a Bundesliga match. A short commute into nearby Spandau is well worth it as the area boasts an impressive Renaissance fortress.
