Inside: Hungarian forests
Outside: trees of Freedom Square
Hungary used to be a country infamous for its dense forests. On entering this apartment you won’t need to wonder where all the trees went to; there’s wood everywhere you look. And we have to say, the carpentry is something else. Stunning. Enjoy this fabulous interior, and don’t feel guilty - there’s plenty of flora in Freedom Square, right outside.
To be fair on our owners and on you, we only show client reviews for an apartment once three people have voiced their opinion. And this one isn’t quite there yet, so it gets our starting score of 8.0.
Grab your best hat as Budapest’s Belváros is sought-after and central. Old Imperial Pest still has plenty of pomp and glory, and is worshipped as the centre of everything.
Relics such as St. Stephen’s basilica and Gresham Palace and countless other neo-classical and Art Nouveau buildings wash Belváros in a regal charm, whilst new hotels, shops and outdoor cafes scream post-communist glitz. It costs nothing though to people watch, or waltz beside the river listening to street musicians.
