Walk through the door, put down your bags and head straight for the balcony. Here, you can see the historic sights of Istanbul before you’ve even left the apartment – one of a series. So open a bottle of wine and enjoy the view. If you can tear yourself away from the balcony, the modern and comfortable interior is also a sight to behold.
Kadıköy is the cultural and transport centre of the Asian side of Istanbul. It also has an authentic, residential feel, where you can get a real taste for local life.
Made up of narrow streets, pedestrianised zones and Ottoman architecture, the commercial centre is a hive of boutiques, shops, cafés, markets and street vendors. Enjoy a kebab there or head to Moda for smart restaurants. What can top all that? A hot-air balloon ride from the Kadıköy Quay. The views are amazing!
