There’s one thing that you can’t deny about Madrid- it’s a huge city. However, most of the things you’ll want to see are all within walking distance of the centre. Just head to the Puerta del Sol from your Madrid apartment to get started. The Parque Retiro is a personal favourite of ours and it’s an ideal place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. Enjoy rowing on the lake or simply lie down on the grass and catch a few rays. The Royal Palace is also well worth a visit during your holiday. And the food in the market beside the Plaza Mayor will have you adjusting that notch on your belt as you go around trying it all! Of course, the nightlife in Madrid is also worth sampling. Plan your own tapas tour and dance the night away before going back to your apartment in Madrid.
