Everything, from the subterranean hot-tub, to the cabin-like bedroom, reminds of The Life Aquatic. But, unlike the unfortunate characters in the film, you’re lucky enough to be in Paris. Ahoy there! Parc Montsouris up ahead!
Raise a glass to Alice B. Toklas and go get lost in the legendary literary cafes, cemetery, catacombs and village-like ambiance of Montparnasse – you’ll be in good company.
The intellectual elite may rest in the Montparnasse cemetery, but you can still feel their presence in cafes like La Rotonde and La Select. Although there are catacombs underneath, the place is Denfert-Rochereau is very much the land of the living – with loads of restaurants and cinemas and outdoor markets.
The steep staircase in the building may not be suitable for all guests.
