The meter shows the fare, but extra fees may occur, for example with luggage to be handled.

Getting around in Nice

Nice is fairly small, so it's easy to cover journeys on foot.

The Ligne d'Azur tramway network is by far the easiest means of public transport in Nice. Its tramline stretches in an arc across town, running from 4.30am till 1.30am.

A single journey is 1 Euro, or get a multi+ card for mutliple journeys or travel with a group. The Pass 1 or 7 are great value, offering unlimited travel for 4 Euro or 15 Euro respectively for 1 or 7 days, including bus airport transfer.

The tram service also provides free parking for those with a multi+ or Pass 1 or 7 in the Parcazur car parks. Have a look at this convenient tramway map for Nice.

Although normal buses rarely run after 8pm, the Noc'tram'bus serves bus routes all over the city during the night, including a route to and from the airport.
