Buses are very frequent and during the summer include three routes servicing Valencia's beautiful beaches. Routes arrive at Paseo Marítimo and Malvarossa (by the Port, with watersports and bars), La Patacona, Port Saplaya in the North and El Pinedo (good public access) or El Saler (beside La Albufera park and the golf course) in the South.
Valencia's modern tram network also provides a great means of transport to the beach, arriving at the seafront paella restaurants of Las Arenas.
There are also several night bus services across the city until about 1am.
Major transport stations in Valencia
There are two important Renfe train stations in Valencia.
Valencia's principal train station, Estación del Norte, is an impressive monument from early last century. Extremely colourful, it boasts floral and orange motifs, floor-to-ceiling.
The second Valencia train station, Estación del Cabañal, is located near the port and connects Renfe with the regional Valencia rail system, for outlying towns of the area.
The main bus station is located on Avenida de Menéndez Pidal, with bus connection to Plaza del Ayuntamiento. National routes include Madrid, Barcelona, Benidorm and Alicante.
There is 24h luggage storage at Estación del Norte, costing just a few Euros.
