Seville public transport information
Taxi in Seville

Taxis in Seville are white, with a green light on the roof when available. You can raise your hand to hail one, or use the taxi ranks, at main stations and at the Seville San Pablo airport. Scroll down for airport transfer information.
Taxi fares in Seville are fairly cheap; you can expect to pay around 5 Euro for a journey across the city, despite the traffic. This means of travel is not recommended, due to the small streets and congestion.
The meter will show the fare, but extra fees may occur, for example with luggage to be handled.
Getting around in Seville
Seville is fairly small, so it's easy to cover journeys on foot.
The city bus network is made up of numerous lines which take ring-routes around and into the city's central point. The main bus stops are at Plaza Nueva and the Plaza de la Encarnación, the Prado de San Sebastián or La Barqueta.
A single journey costs about 1 Euro, or pick up a Bonobús 10 journey pass for around 5 Euro.
There is also a tramvia line and a metro line running, with further metro lines under construction.
A much more old-fashioned way of getting around the city is to go by horse and carriage! From the cathedral or Plaza de España, a horse and trap around Seville costs about 35 Euro an hour.
Major transport stations in Seville
There are three major transport stations in Seville, as follows:
The Santa Just train station, located just outside the historical centre, is for all train routes, as well as the high-speed AVE train which connects to Cordóba and Madrid.
Plaza de las Armas bus station is for national journeys and beach transfers to Matalascañas. This bus station serves routes to Salamanca, Madrid and San Sebastián as well as Portugal.
For Travel to regional destinations, such as Cadiz, Gilbraltar, Granada and Marbella, catch a bus from Prado de San Sebastián bus station, near to Plaza España.
Parking in Seville
Taking your car to Seville is not recommended, because of its little streets in the city centre, traffic congestion and parking safety. However, the following are the most convenient paid car parks, if taking public transport is not an option: Calle Sor Angela de la Cruz (Plaza Encarnacion), Paseo Cristobal Colón (Triana bridge), Plaza de las Armas (bus station) or Plaza de la Concordia.
Seville (SVQ) airport transfer information
Seville San Pablo Airport (SVQ) is located 10 km North of the city centre, with convenient airport transfer by bus to Santa Just, Seville's central train station.
The bus service runs from Seville airport into the city centre at 30 minute intervals, from around 5am until just after midnight, Monday to Friday and 6am-11.45pm on Sundays. The journey costs about 2.50 Euro single or 4 Euro return.
Taking a taxi from Seville airport is a fast and inexpensive way to arrive at your apartment. There are fixed rates into the city centre, ranging from 19-22 Euro, depending on the time of day and extra on public holidays, such as during Santa Semana.
The journey time into central Seville is approximately 20 minutes.
