Pla del Real, Valencia

Pla de Real must be the easiest barrio to find in Valencia. Just ask locals for the Puente de la Peineta (or ‘comb bridge’) or follow the crowds when the whole city turns out to see FC Valencia play at Mestalla, their home base.

Not a fan? Then check out the area’s awesome buildings built for the 1909 World’s Fair. The most famous is the Palacio de la Exposición, though we prefer the old nursery, which has been converted to the Balneario La Alameda - a luxury spa.
