Extramurs – Botanic, Valencia

A combination of gardens, galleries and great architecture is hard to top. ‘Extramurs’ may mean ‘outside the walls’, but there’s very little this barrio lacks. Modern art has its home at the cutting edge IVAM and the lovely botanic gardens and streets full of 19^th century homes paint the prettiest of pictures. Like to linger around arty little shops and cafes? They’re here too - all within a moment’s walk to the hyper-lively Carmen district.
