Fans of The Third Man will get a kick out of seeing the city skyline from the Wiener Riesenrad (Ferris wheel) in the huge Prater Park. Just try not to mention ‘dots’ or ‘cuckoo clocks’.

Hop over the canal (or take the subway) from the City Centre and you’ll be in Leopoldstadt, the greenest of districts. Kids will love the fairground and fairytale Augarten Palace. Can you hear the sweet sound of children singing? That’s the Vienna Boys Choir, who is practising inside.
