"Area was fantastic, ten minute walk to the gothic qtr and 15 from Sagra Familier. Lots of amazing places to eat nearby. Apartment floor was filthy though and somone else's hair left in clumps in the shower. Apart from that the apartment was really very nice. This is a noisy place though so if you want to sleep with the windows open be ready for some disturbances. With the windows shut all was fine. "
"Upon check-in we were told that we were required to pay 30euro (cash only) service charge because we were checking in on a Sunday. This was not disclosed on the Way To Stay website nor we were notified via email upon confirmation of our booking. Very disappointing but we paid the fee though considered it rather unethical. We had been looking forward to staying in what (online) looked to be a clean, spacious, self-contained apartment in a good location. It definitely was spacious and easy walking distance to the city centre (~15mins), and it allowed us to prepare our own family meals. However the cleanliness of the apartment left a great deal to be desired (i.e. mould in the shower, tiled walls of bathroom unclean, toilet paper all over an old toilet-brush, floors throughout filthy not even vacuumed/swept much less mopped, cupboards not wiped clean - foodcrumbs etc on bench, mould on an old kitchen sponge and breadboard, and no kitchen/tea-towels, cockroaches, green blankets on beds smelt of body-odour and clearly are not laundered between guests, dust under all furniture). The bed linen and towels provided did smell fresh and clean, to our relief. The apartment was cold (it was winter in Spain though), but a reverse-cycle air-conditioner on high did warm the apartment. Close to the end of our stay a man knocked on our door stating that we had only booked for two adults in a two bedroom apartment and told us we were to give him one of the spare duvets, we are still not sure if he was the owner or another guest? Again we complied and gave over a duvet and hope we do not encounter any further unexpected charges! We definitely will not stay here again if we return to Barcelona."
"The apartment was in good condition and the manager helpful. The scaffolding blocking all the windows, and meaning the balcony was not able to be used, as well as builders passing outside all windows from early in the morning, was not pre-advised and therefore pretty disappointing. "
