Friedrichshain, Berlin
This part of Friedrichshain is sandwiched between Karl-Marx-Allee to the north and the river Spree to the south. In it you’ll find the Ostbahnhof station and Boxhagener Platz where there’s a weekend market and lots of bars and cafés.
It’s also home to Berghain – possibly the world’s most important techno club – and a place where the party, once it starts, never really stops. So if you’re here for the nightlife, you really couldn’t pick a better place. Other than that, the central location near Mitte and Kreuzberg should suit most people.
