Tired from walking, tasting too many beers or eating too much chocolate, then taking a taxi is a relatively easy option. Potentially any colour, though typically black or white, they are easily spotted by the white, yellow and blue triangular sign on the roof.
Taxi stands are dotted across the city, but if you want to hail one from the street, make sure you’re not too close to a stand. Closer than 100 metres to the stand and they won’t stop. Not unless you’re at the front of the queue.
When you do get in, ask for a receipt, that way you know the meter is on. Tips are included, but if you really want to give them extra, rounding up to the nearest euro is standard.
