Cais do Sodré is the major bus, metro, train, and ferry terminal. Trains depart to Cascais and Estoril, and trams to Belém. The ferries link to Cacilhas across the river - a journey worth taking for the views.

Oriente Station, in the Parque das Nações area, is a metro and bus terminal. Most trains entering Lisbon stop here. Rossio Station is a beautiful old station, serving the city suburbs, such as Sintra.

Santa Apolonia Station is a pretty, sky-blue building in Alfama, and is for international train departures.

Sete Rios bus terminal, near the Jardim Zoologico metro, is for express and national departures.

For luggage storage, there are 24 hour facilities in Santa Apolonia station (3 Euro approx.).
