All Madrid apartments

Just arrived in Barajas and wondering how to get quickly to your apartment? Don’t worry because there are three easy options available for getting in and out.

Airport bus links

The No. 200 bus leaves Terminal 1, 2 and 3 roughly every 10 minutes between 6 a.m. and 23:30 p.m. and leaves you at the Avenida de América interchange, where you can connect with the metro. Take the No. 204 if you’re in the newer Terminal 4.

A single ticket costs around €2.

If you arrive after 23:30, you’ll need to take the night bus. Locals call it the ‘owl’ – pronounced ‘boo-wo’ (búho.)

Metro link

The metro is a good option if you’re travelling light. It serves all terminals and will take you to the centre in 12 minutes. Check out this map in English. Trains leave roughly every 5 minutes between 6 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.

Carrying lots of luggage? A fare to the centre costs around €25 and includes an airport supplement. But be careful not to pay a luggage supplement because it was abolished. The journey takes between 20 and 40 minutes depending on traffic. If you have any doubts, ask for the receipt – called a ticket. (‘Tee-ket’)
