"We did not receive a warm welcome from the owner. First of all he wouldn't accept that there were 6 of us in our group! He said he counted 7 people! Then he recounted, admitted there were 6 of us - but did not apologise. He then asked for 40 euros for late arrival rather than the 30 euros stated on your website. It would have been kind if there had been some provisions to start us off such as tea, coffee and milk. It was disappointing that we even had to buy toilet rolls. One of our party was injured when she bumped her head on a low beam in the apartment. The low beam should be brightly marked or lit to ensure future guests do not injure themselves. Also the owner could point it out on check in. No information on Valencia was available in the apartment. It would be useful for future guests to have a folder with a map, where the nearest supermarket is, local doctor's phone number etc. One of our party had blood stained sheets and slept on the sheets rather than in the bed and her towels smelt musty. The shower attachment in one of the bathrooms was broken and kept falling off the wall. I mentioned this to the cleaner on the last day and she said it has been like this for a long time. Although the apartment is in an excellent location and has lots of character, it is in need of some work such as fixing a wobbly floor tile in the hallway and toilet roll holders as well as repairing cracked tiles in the shower. We also had difficulty entering the apartment due to a faulty lock at the main entrance on Sunday night and on Monday. I phoned Maria del Carmen but there was no reply. I then phoned the other number and left a message on the answering machine. Fortunately the cleaner saw us and let us in. I regret I'm unable to give more favourable feedback about this apartment. I and my friends have stayed in many apartments around the world but were sadly disappointed with this one. "
