Location & map

Benimaclet, Valencia

Once a separate village in its own right, you can still see signs of Benimaclet’s history in its jumbled street layout and pretty squares.

Getting out of the tourist comfort zone has its rewards. Benimaclet is where you’ll hear the local Valencian lingo – along with the Russian and Arabic of the new immigrants that make up the barrio’s eclectic social mix. Throw in a sizable student population (and we all know how that benefits a local bar scene) and you may happily spend more time at your Benimaclet base camp than expected.
