If Valencia has whet your appetite for exploring even more parts of the country, then there are various stations you should know about.
Renfe (Spanish railway) has two important train stations here.
The Estación del Nord is Valencia’s main station. Far from being dull and bland, it’s also an important piece of architecture, colourful and interesting, with floor-to-ceiling floral and orange motifs. Almost worth a visit even if you’re not planning to take a train. It also has 24 hour luggage storage. Great for when you’re exhausted by carrying your bags around.
The second station is the Estación del Cabañal, located near the port.
If you prefer to take a bus, then you’ll find the main bus station on Avenida de Menéndez Pidal. From here you can travel to Madrid, Barcelona, Benidorm and Alicante.
