Vienna is served by a number of stations which act as transport hubs for both buses and trains. Although it might be a bit confusing to get your head around at first, we recommend making a little effort to get to know a few of the most important ones, especially if you plan on moving around a lot.
The principal, and most central station is Wien Mitte-Landstraße, which serves the metro and overground S-Bahn commuter trains. Here, you’ll also find CAT trains to the airport and a number of international bus routes.
Wien Südbanhof station is the main terminal for a number of S-Bahn routes, as well as buses and trains to Prague, Bratislava and Poland.
Wien Westbanhof serves many S-Bahn and U-Bahn lines as well as train routes to Germany.
